On May 9th, His Holiness inaugurated and consecrated the newly built Gyuto monastery’s classrooms, which are located within the Gyuto Monastery complex. The classrooms are equally usable by both young monks in the first through fifth grade, and Geshes undergoing the complete studies on advanced Buddhism. English and Science will be mandatory subject. Gyuto Monastery’s Khen Rinpoche offered a mandala to His Holiness and served sweet rice and tea. The inauguration ceremony concluded with the famous multi-tonal Gyuto chants.
