July 6th, 2009 – Dharamshala
In commemoration of His Holiness Dalai Lama’s 74th birthday, thousands of Tibetans and people from across the world participated in the great festivities. Colourful Tibetan and Indian cultural performances added grandeur to the celebratory function.
His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa presided over the anniversary event; which was also attended by several dignitaries, including the visiting Australian Parliamentary Delegation and heads of the Three Pillars of Tibetan Government In Exile.
The Australian delegations, comprised of three senators and three members of the Australian House of Representatives, along with their friends and family, met His Holiness Karmapa on July 4th.
Currently, His Eminence Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche is giving oral transmissions and teachings of Dhue-Khor Drel-chen to His Holiness Karmapa.
