His Holiness Concludes Fall-Winter Tour
The Karmapa arrived back to his temporary camp at Gyuto Monastic College in Dharamsala, after presiding over the the Great Monlam Aspiration of the Glorious Unequaled Kagyu Sangha (Pal Nyammay Kagyupay Sangha Monlam Chenmo) in Bodhgaya, Bihar, India. He also offered the Chakrasambhara and Green Tara initiations at Tergar Monstery, and was a Buddhist representative at the interfaith ceremony commemorating the Enlightenment and Parinirvana of Lord Buddha 2550 years ago. Before arriving in Bihar, His Holiness presided over the Karma Gön Chö, the Winter Retreat for Debate and Logical Study, held annually at Vajra Vidhya Institute in Sarnath, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. HH Karmapa also hosted His Holiness Dalai Lama at Vajra Vidya Institute. At the inception of his Fall-Winter Tour, His Holiness presided over the Parinirvana Anniversary of Very Ven. Bokar Rinpoche at Bokar Ngedon Choekhar Ling in Mirik, West Bengal, India. Details of the Fall-Winter Tour are set forth below.
