His Eminence Kyabje Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche offers reading transmission - August 31, 2008

As requested by Tsurphu Labrang (Karmapa's Office of Administration) His Eminence Kyabje Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche offers a reading transmission (oral transmission) to His Holiness The 17th Karmapa, which started on August 31st, 2008. The reading transmission is of The 15th Karmapa's (Khakyab Dorje) collected works.

Audience with His Holiness - August 12, 2008

This morning Mr. J.P. Nadda (Forest Minister of Himachal Pradesh Govt.), Mr. Indresh (All India RSS Chief and the founder of Himalayan Family Organization) and Mr. Rishi Walia (RSS State President of H.P) accompanied by Mr. Karma Choephel and Mrs. Gyari Dolma (Speaker of Tibetan Parliament in Exile) and the Himalayan Family Group had an audience with His Holiness Karmapa at his residence in Gyuto University.

His Holiness returned to Gyuto on July 28th after finishing the routine health check-up in Delhi. His Holiness has resumed his normal schedule.

HH Karmapa visits HH Dalai Lama, July 6/08

On the occasion of His Holiness Dalai Lama's 73rd birthday The Gyalwang Karmapa visited His Holiness' Palace at Tsuklag Khang to offer a ceremonial scarf.

After that at Gyuto University, Thigtse Khen Rinpoche; Togden Rinpoche, President of Ladakh Gonpa Association; Mr. Rinchen, President of Ladakh Buddhist Association; had an audience with the His Holiness the Gyalwang Karmapa in accordance with the invitation to visit Ladakh.

Gyalwang Karmapa Turns 23, June 26, 2008

The Gyalwang Karmapa Celebrates his 23rd Birthday. The celebration began at 8 am in the main shrine hall of Gyuto monastery, His Holiness presided over the puja which was attended by His Eminence Tai Situ Rinpoche, Gyutoe Khen Rinpoche, Drozong Rinpoche and Mr. Sonam Damdul (Member of Parliament) of Tibetan Government in Exile, Mr. Sonam Topgye, Rinpoches, Lamas and international devotees.

The representative of Dharma centers offered Mandala, Gyuto Monastery and Tsurphu Labrang offered Tenshug (Long Live) to His Holiness to mark the celebration.

In the afternoon, His Holiness left the Gyuto Monastery for Trilokpur Nunnery accompanied by His Eminence Tai Situ Rinpoche to give two days teachings at the request of international devotees. His Holiness cut the birthday cake at Trilokpur.

HE Tai Situ Rinpoche with HH Karmapa

As requested by Tsurphu Labrang (Karmapa's Office of Administration) His Eminence Tai Situ Rinpoche arrived at Gyuto Monastery on June 22nd, 2008. Tai Situ Rinpoche is engaged in teaching and Initiation to His Holiness starting from June 23rd, 2008.
